3.Addressing the Biofilm Challenge

In chronic or complex wounds, bacteria often form biofilms - three-dimensional structures composed of extracellular polysaccharides. These biofilms act as barriers, preventing penetration by cleansing agents and significantly reducing the efficacy of antimicrobial components, leading to persistent infections and delayed healing.

LUOFUCON^® Skin and Wound Cleanser employs a synergistic strategy to address this challenge:  Disodium EDTA supports the disruption of the biofilm matrix, facilitating PHMB's penetration, thereby aiding in limiting microbial regrowth following the cleansing procedure.

Rx Indications

LUOFUCON^® Skin and Wound cleanser is intended for cleaning wounds and for moistening and lubricating absorbent wound dressings for ulcers, burns, post-surgical wounds and abrasions.

OTC Indications

LUOFUCON^® Skin and Wound cleanser is intended for cleaning wounds and moistening absorbent wound dressings for the management of minor cuts, minor abrasions, minor lacerations and minor burns.

Contraindications

LUOFUCON^® Skin and Wound Cleanser should not be used if there is a history of allergy to any of the ingredients.
