L-Lactide(L-LA)

L-LA

One of the optical isomers of lactide, as a polymeric monomer, is mainly used for homopolymerization of L-polylactic acid. This homopolymer has optical activity, stereoscopic regularity, certain crystallinity and melting point, good mechanical strength, and is one of the most important biodegradable polymers, so in the medical field, PLLA is commonly used as a load-bearing material in orthopedics.
